Good luck getting a reservation at Laser Wolf, an Israeli grill in Kensington from the team behind Zahav. There’s so much hype around this spot that if you don’t have a reservation yet, you probably won’t get one until Winter 2022. What you should do, though, is show up before they open at 5pm and you can get a seat at the bar pretty easily. Then you can enjoy what every dinner at Laser Wolf includes - around a dozen small vegetable-based salads as well as pita and hummus. If you want, for $18, you could make a full meal out of an unlimited amount of fluffy pita and dips like kale babaganoush and sweet potato muhammara. Without getting anything else, it’s perfect for a first date or casual weeknight dinner. When you start ordering the meats on the menu, especially the bigger ones like an entire branzino filled with ginger, pineapple, and lemon for $88 - it can start adding up pretty quickly. Save that for a birthday, invite all your friends, and make them split everything with you at one of their big, colorful tables in their open-air market-esque space.
