Get off the 6 Train at Castle Hill Avenue in the Bronx and you’ll be just a few blocks away from one of the better burritos in the city. Taqueria Tlaxcalli serves great Mexican food in a casual space with an open kitchen and a TV in the corner. We especially like the fish tacos (the fish is grilled, not fried) and the steak burrito (it’s the size of a kitten, and comes with tons of cheesy rice inside, plus colorful stripes of sauce on top). The space isn’t huge and it can get crowded, but you can always order to-go if you don’t want to sit down.
