This is less about eating steak and more about eating a cow. All of it. Cooking it over your own personal grill that has a vacuum cleaner thing over it to keep the smoke out of the room. Interested? You should be.
How much you will love Takashi depends on how excited you are by the prospect of cooking pieces of beef stomach on a grill in front of you. If that sounds great, you’re going to love this Japanese BBQ place. And if you don’t particularly like beef stomach, there are a bunch of different cuts like short rib, ribeye, tongue, and skirt.
This little West Village Japanese place (where you grill your own meats at the table) also makes their own vanilla soft serve with toppings like sweet beans, rice-flour dumplings, and green tea sauce, and it’s delicious.
