While many restaurants have started selling groceries during the pandemic, Rolo’s has taken the concept to a whole new level. This neighborhood spot in Ridgewood, created by four friends who met while working together at Gramercy Tavern, is part restaurant and part gourmet grocery store. Inside the market at this corner shop, you’ll find pastas, sauces, cheeses, and wine. Additionally, baked goods like olive-topped focaccia, rainbow cookies, and gougères are served over the counter. On the restaurant side, Rolo’s offers weekly dinner packages for takeout and delivery, including a rotating menu of things like baked lobster pasta, double cheeseburgers, roasted chicken, and cauliflower salad. The whole operation is open from 11am to 9pm, Wednesday-Sunday.
