If you like the Quality Eats in the West Village, you’ll probably like the one on the Upper East Side as well. They serve the same menu as their original casual steakhouse, and the only difference is really the space - this location is a little bit brighter, and you see more families here. As for food, you’ll eat affordable steaks, along with less-expected stuff like peanut butter & jelly bacon and birthday cake ice cream. Just expect crowds, and don’t be surprised if you see a few strollers.

Nica Trattoria is an old-school (and cash-only) Italian spot on the UES where you’ll probably meet the owner and eat some gnocchi.

Mr. Purple is the restaurant/bar on top of Hotel Indigo on the Lower East Side. It’s a good place to grab a drink with a group, but it does get busy.
Restaurant rotisserie chicken that we don't mind paying up for? It exists, in Hell's Kitchen of all places. Get Poulette in your Midtown lunch rotation.
The Smith Midtown
If Midtown East is the final frontier of food-obsessed New York City, The Smith Midtown is the Starship Enterprise.

Quality Italian is a neo-classic Italian restaurant in Midtown melded with a steakhouse. We like it for the variety on the menu and the massive space.
