Ponyboy is cocktail bar in Greenpoint where you can book a table and have a full dinner. But we wouldn’t recommend that, seeing as how the menu is confusingly broad (sashimi, hummus, homemade Doritos, etc.) and the food is pretty unremarkable. What you really want to do is come here after 10pm, when this place turns into a full-on bar, with a big dance floor in the back. Just be aware that it gets extremely crowded on weekends.

Sally Roots serves some good Caribbean/American food in a Bushwick space you’ll want to hang out in.
Lavender Lake could get away with being a just great bar with a large outdoor patio. However, it scores extra points from us for putting some care into curating a small but solid selection of bar snacks and entree sized plates.

Tipsy Parson has done a perfect job of creating a place that looks and feels like a Southern restaurant, but at the cost of under-delivering on the food. Look elsewhere to satisfy your comfort food cravings.
The original Au Cheval in Chicago makes one of our all-time favorite burgers, and the location in Tribeca serves a damn good one as well.
