Kingsbridge Social Club is a great neighborhood pizza place right off of the 238th Street 1 stop in the northwestern part of the Bronx. While there are some good salads and appetizers (the hot cherry pepper wings are great), you should really be coming to this place for the pizza. Each pie is 12 inches and they’re all $16 or less. The crust here is harder than a fluffy Neapolitan pizza crust, but softer than a classic New York slice - and they all come with some really good charred bubbles. Our favorites are the house pie which has exactly the right amount of fresh mozzarella and a lot of basil (it’s essentially a margherita). If you want to try another one, we’d suggest the “Bronx Deli.” Despite sounding slightly gimmicky, it’s excellent and you won’t be able to find a lot of other pizza like it. This pie comes with spicy soppressata, strips of pepperoni, spicy cherry peppers, and provolone, and it tastes like an excellent deli sandwich.
