The original Gitano is in Tulum, and now there’s a location on what used to be a big empty lot in Soho. This is great news for anyone who likes overpriced food and beverages, and it’s perfect for people who only eat at restaurants that are at least 50% nightclub. The menu here is pretty short, with a $16 grilled avocado, some unimpressive tacos, and a bowl of guacamole that costs $19 just because it can. If you want to grab a drink outside around a bunch of palm trees and disco balls, just get a quick one at the bar. But you don’t need to eat here.
