Bourke Street Bakery started out in Sydney, but now there’s a big, bright location on 28th Street. This is fortunate for anyone who lives in the area - because the pastries here are incredibly good (and deserve to be eaten by you). We especially like the big flaky croissants and the rich chocolate tarts, and we’d travel several miles on a subway without AC just to eat their maple bacon danish. There are also a bunch of other things like bread, muffins, sausage rolls, and sandwiches. If you find yourself nearby in the morning, stop by for an excellent BEC. Either take it to go, or grab one of the tables to side and hang out for a bit.
