Itamae is located in the Design District, and serves the best Nikkei (Peruvian/Japanese) food in the city. They have a selection of exceptional tiradito bowls - from the daily catch clásico to the rosita, which comes with octopus, red onion, white truffle oil, and an ají amarillo leche de tigre we usually end up licking off the plate. The sushi rolls here are great too, especially the totoro, stuffed perfectly with spicy tuna, avocado, shiitake mushrooms, and ají rocoto aioli. We could keep naming menu items, but this is one of those places where you should make it your goal to order everything on the menu. We are confident it’s all going to be good - because this is one of the best restaurants in Miami.
