Diya is an Indian restaurant in Sunset Harbour with an entirely vegetarian menu. There are a lot of vegan options too, and the food is a mix of traditional dishes and interesting fusion creations. On the more traditional side, you’ll find tandoori paneer, potato and vegetable samosas, and chana masala. But they also serve things we’ve never seen before, like their really tasty “Bahn Mi-Naan Mi,” essentially an oversized piece of naan cosplaying as a banh mi, filled with pickles, cilantro, onion, and your choice of spicy tofu, masala paneer, or soy chunks. We prefer the restaurant’s outdoor seating, which is good for casually watching luxury cars run stop signs.
