Located in that bright green building in Silver Lake that you probably thought was a dispensary, Needle is a casual, order-at-the-counter restaurant serving Cantonese food. From pea shoots in garlic broth to button mushrooms so good they compelled us to change our Twitter name to “Fungi Fieri,” we like almost everything on their concise menu (including their excellent tea selection), but the main event here is the char siu. Honey-glazed and served with hot mustard, this pork shoulder is sweet, savory, and exactly what you want after a long day of being yelled at by your boss and/or trying to figure what exactly Florence Pugh sees in Zach Braff.
