Wright Brothers’ original Borough Market location is famous for its oysters and seafood, and their outpost out East is the same story. Think shellfish towers, lobster and prawns, or a nice piece of fish to go with some crisp white wine or champagne. It’s a shoo-in for a classy meal near Liverpool Street and the City without having to resort to one of the anonymous brasseries in the area, and there’s a small outdoor terrace for sitting in Spitalfields market without actually having to deal with the market itself.

Well & Bucket is a neighbourhood pub in Shoreditch. In addition to being very pretty inside, there’s a garden in the back and decent food, too.
Galvin La Chapelle
If the French fine dining at Galvin La Chapelle in Spitalfields doesn’t knock you for six, then the epic converted chapel interior will.

Sexy Fish is a flash seafood place in Mayfair. It’s fairly funny, fairly vulgar, and it serves food that’s rarely anything more than fine.
Wright Brothers Oyster & Porter House
Wright Brothers is our favourite spot in Borough market to perch with a beer and a pint of prawns.
Sea Containers is the very cool-looking restaurant inside the Mondrian Hotel. It’s great for breakfast and lunch meetings, and group dinners.
