Macellaio serves very tender, Italian-style steaks cooked simply on a hot grill and served with just a bit of rock salt and olive oil. Unless you’re quite well-off, it’s unlikely you’ll use it for a quick drop-in at lunch, but it’s good for a payday splurge or celebrating that 1% raise you spent the best part of a year campaigning for. They also have tasty cicchetti bites (starters) as well as good pasta, which you should definitely order on the side, because who actually likes creamed spinach?
