This Mayfair spot has some of the best guacamole we’ve tried in London, as well as some mind-blowingly good crab tacos, and some very good wagyu sliders. It usually gets quite pricey, quite quickly, so it’s best saved for a birthday or celebratory meal, but the leafy interior is the perfect backdrop to make you forget you’re in London and it is indeed still raining outside.

Gymkhana is the best Indian restaurant in London, an upscale establishment serving elevated classics and an incredible biryani.
Murger Hanhan is a very useful Mayfair restaurant serving excellent and inexpensive Xi’an specialties like biang biang noodles and murger.

Sushisamba is a loud restaurant on the 38th floor of the City’s Heron Tower. The views are undeniably excellent. Almost everything else is appalling.
