The simple things, like a warm garlic and za’atar covered fresh naan, really are the best things in life. Especially when they’re bread-related. And especially for £1. That’s what you’ll get at Baban’s Naan, a tiny takeaway naan shop on Blackstock Road. N4’s savvier locals have clocked that three plain naans for a quid from Baban’s, slapped into the tandoor and still warm when they’re wrapped, will transform a good home cooked curry night into an excellent one. Alternatively, if like us, you’re one of the less savvy types who regularly subject themselves to watching Arsenal play down the road, a falafel or lahmacun wrap from Baban’s will cheer you right up.
