There are several locations of the coffee shop Houndstooth in Austin (and a few in Dallas). The one downtown is in the base of the Frost Bank Tower – it’s so tucked in you could easily miss it walking by. But people downtown know it’s there, and during peak hours it can get pretty busy and loud, so it’s not ideal for a long work session. They're also totally unafraid to blast old-school hip hop. There are pastries, lots of tea options, and Tacodeli tacos. Most importantly, you'll find that Houndstooth serves some of the best coffee you’ll find not just downtown, but in all of Austin. There's also wine and beer for when you need to chill out after drinking coffee all day.
